Real Life Stories | Volunteers |  Chatters Cafe is run by some very special people. This is Richard. One Saturday morning Richard was invited to go bowling. He turned it down because he enjoys working in the kitchen so much. We praise God for people like Richard. Some of our volunteers have gone on to gain paid employment elsewhere. Richard has now moved to the mainland and we need more people to help us run the cafe.
Cafe  Supervisor, Lilian, was presented with flowers at a special 60s / 70s evening to thank all the volunteers, more than 50 of whom attended. If you would like to join our army of volunteers please use the contact form. Chatters Cafe is open from 10:00 - 2:00 on weekdays and until midday on Saturdays. Volunteers generally do a three hour shift either waiting on tables, in the kitchen or on reception.
