 Dan Brown wrote a novel. He does not claim it is fact, it’s just a story. Obviously the characters in the story claim things as facts. Here is one example to prove it is just a story. The characters in the story say that the Gospel of Thomas speaks highly of women, particularly Mary Magdalene, whom they say is the wife of Jesus. The last verse of the Gospel of Thomas actually reads: ‘Simon Peter said to them: Let Mary go forth from among us, for women are not worthy of the life. Jesus said: Behold, I shall lead her, that I may make her male, in order that she also may become a living spirit like you males.’ According to the Gospel of Thomas, the only way a woman can become a living spirit is by being turned into a man. This is just one reason why the Gospel of Thomas is not included in the Bible.
