Sharon’s Story
My support worker brought me in to Chatters Café one day. She asked if I would like to become a volunteer. I started helping with the washing up on Tuesday mornings. Then I started coming to the church. Later my twin sons came along. They liked making new friends with the other children in the Sunday School.
One Sunday May 2nd the light went on and I understood. I knew that I wanted Jesus with me. I wanted to be forgiven and to change. On May 4th I came into the café and talked to Alison. She helped me with a special prayer to ask Jesus into my life. About a week later I heard about baptism. I understand that being baptised means leaving the old me behind. I was baptised on June 6th.
I am much happier now and God is the answer to my prayers. If you don’t ask you don’t get. I enjoy reading my Bible, it’s like “Wow, it makes sense!”. God's blanket of love is with me forever.
