On Saturday Jan 23rd we welcomed Howard Heyburn as our pastor. An amazing number of people came for the special service, from numerous other churches on the Island and on the mainland; from Cirencester, Southampton and Bath. Howard's previous church in Llantwit Major (Wales) was well represented. Grenville Overton, the Regional Minister of the Southern Counties Baptist Association conducted the Induction. A former pastor of RBC, Geoff Taylor, attended .
So many ministers and church representatives laid hands on Howard in prayer that he could hardly keep standing!
 The Upper Room was only just large enough to hold everyone. Fortunately we had provided lots of food and there was plenty for everyone to eat. This is just one of four loaded tables.
