Friend2Friend is a group for older men & women who meet together on a Tuesday afternoon. The programme varies each week. Recent talks have been on Island history, the work of the National Trust, Missionary Aviation Fellowship and Love Russia,  hobbies and holidays. Each week a devotional time is held with a short Christian message and prayer followed by a cup of tea and time to chat.
A number of those who come live alone, and have formed friendships within the group. One man said "I like the varied talks but also come to meet other people."  Another regular said Tuesday is her favourite day of the week as she looks forward to the meetings.
The aim of Friend 2Friend is to reach those who have little or no understanding of the Christian faith through friendship, and to help Christians grow in their faith. People like the informality of the meetings and appreciate the devotional talks. Sharing the love of Jesus is at the heart of the Gospel message, as well as offering warm friendship within the family of the church.
