I was brought up to go to Church and Sunday School, but when I was 18 I stopped following God's way and followed my own way. I began drinking alcohol in pubs etc etc. Then one day when I was in Whitecroft I began questioning God, asking him to show me in my spiritual dictionary (Bible) that he loves me and basically began searching for God. A couple of times the Lord gave me a scripture: Revelation 3 verse 20 "Here I am, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone open it I will come in and eat with him and he with me".
While I went to Cowes Baptist Church the first Sunday morning we sang "Come, now is the time to worship". The line that spoke to me was "Now is the time to give your heart." Tears started to pour down my cheeks. That same night I asked God to come into my heart. It took me several weeks to calm down from the high I felt, and on 20th Sept 2009 I went through the water of baptism in the evening service.
My future is following God, praying to him and just to seek his guidance every day. as it says in Proverbs chapter 3 verses 5 & g: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding but in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight."
