Sunday worship @ Ryde Baptist Church
in the Upper Room
Fully accessible by lift
Disabled toilets on both floors
We are an open, friendly and welcoming church. Our minister has recently retired so a member of the congregation or a visiting preacher will take the services. Our worship is easy to follow - everything is on the screen. Large print folders containing the words, just for that day, are also available. Sometimes we sing old hymns, sometimes new songs that we don't all know. We love to make new friends. Do join us, at any of our activities.
(Crèche & Sunday School)
Tea/Coffee and biscuits afterwards free
3rd Sunday of the month
Evenings: 4th Sunday of each month.
At present we are only joining other Christians in Ryde for a "Churches Together in the Ryde Area" (CTRA) service. This is held in a different building each month and generally starts at 6:30 pm.
Café Church takes place on the other Sunday evenings.
Do I need a hat?
No, but if you want a chance to wear that one you bought for a wedding feel free. What is important is that you come, not how you are dressed.
What if I don't have money to put in the bag?
Several people give to the church by standing order. This means they don't put money in the bag either. Nobody will notice if you just let it pass by.
